A Year of Inkscapes - May

My calendar panel for May aims to capture the increasing warmth of summer, so my colour palette is warming up!

Inks are applied with a mix of Clarity Stencil brushes and round Ranger Ink blending tools and a lot of elbow grease! Sentiments were all positioned with the assistance of a MISTI stamp positioning tool.

Inks: Distress Inks - Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet and Picked Raspberry. Versafine - Black Onyx
Stamps: Crafty Individuals Flourish, Chocolate Baroque Wild Meadow, Rubbernecker sentiment
Stencil: Tim Holtz Wild Meadow

  1. The Tattered Rose gives such a lovely subtle effect when used for stamping & the swirls echo the font of your sentiment beautifully. There's certainly a sense of the warmth imparted - it's the second month that your calendar picks up the colours in my Scripture calendar adjacent to it!!

  2. Hi Elaine, thanks for stopping in a my blog :) I hope you are doing well. Beautiful page for May, the colours and images are gorgeous together. It's funny as I was looking at my Distress Inks, trying to downsize colours I don't use (give them away) and wondered if I needed both Victorian Velvet and Tattered Rose and now glad I kept them both looking at your design. I've been downsizing my craft stash for quite a while, since we committed to a new home build. Take good care :) Shirleyxx
