It's a friend's birthday this week and she likes blue, so that was my lead for this card.
I ordered a pack of 12 x 12 Firefly papers from Prima, and used a bluey green background. I die cut a circle and used Distress Ink in Bundled Sage, Tumbled Glass and Evergreen Bough to sponge, including over a Crafty Individuals fern mask. I then overstamped with a branch stamp from the new Chocolate Baroque Spring Foliage set using Veridian Archival ink. I added some shading around the edge with Denim Adrirondack dye ink. The sentiment is from the CB Pretty Poppies set.
Hope you are all warm and cosy after the snow that has affected some parts of the country today.

Hi Elaine, I'm glad you don't 'really' have the blues:) Beautiful card, love the use of the branch inside the circle & beautiful blues. Have a great Valentines Day, Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteShe's going to love it Elaine! I love the colours and the design is really delicate and airy. I love that Veridian Archival colour. Must look out for that one. This card has settled it .... Spring Foliage is now at the top of my wish list, lol!

lucky friend! gorgeous work, as always Elaine. Hope all is well with you both x
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely - so thoughtfully made too. I love the way you have made that focal feature using the fern stencil & then highlighted the whole with the blue edge sponging. The archival stamping is breathtaking in that colour.
