I thought I would share a few projects that haven't been aired here before. I plan to make batch cards, but rarely do. A while back I bought one of the texture plates designed for use with UTEE etc. I decided to have a go stamping with it. At first my less than perfect impression put me off, but then I decided it was actually perfectly fine for using and the following set of cards was the result.
I inked the plate with some of my underused rainbow ink pads and rather like the colour gradation.
Here is a closer image of one.
The shell is a Hero Arts stamp, not sure where the sentiment is from. I combined with various die cuts and matting using card from my scrap box.
Here is a birthday card I made my Mum. This one uses a Sue Wilson pansy die and a Honey Doo sentiment stamp.
I have been spending a lot of time in the garden and greenhouse getting veg plants started. 6 varieties of tomato started life like this far too late.
These plants are now quite a lot bigger and planted out in our polytunnel.
I just about managed my annual pilgrimage to the craft show at Ally Pally in April. I must confess it was touch and go up until a couple of days before as I was still feeling so ropey, but a long term plan to meet up with my special crafty friend Judith, made me determined to get there! Here is a pic of my shopping from the day. Needless to say, much of it untouched as yet!
Finally a couple of sky pics I captured, these are back from April. A stormy one as we were crossing the water.
A beautiful sunrise when we got up very early one morning to listen to the dawn chorus that was really spectacular that day. This is a pic of the track up to our house and the sky that day was a real bonus.
I have more to update, but I will try and do another post before too long.
Thanks to any one popping in, who has not given up hope of ever seeing a post from me again!
Elaine x

Your multicoloured shell cards are lovely with all the blues & I do like the design with the variations & matting. It's so good to see you back in the swing of things. Your photos are very atmospheric & I know you love the veg garden with the produce.
ReplyDeleteTake care & don't overdo things.
Hi Elaine, Sorry that the chest 'bug' has left you ill for a long time. Good that you are feeling much better now. I find this time of year very busy with gardening and cycling, not so much time for crafting these days. Your gardens sound wonderful, the photo of the sunrise on your lane way is fantastic, you live in a beautiful spot. Your cards are very beautiful, I love the die cutting on the right side, the colours and fantastic lay-out. Take good care, Hugs, Shirleyxx ps.. great you were able to meet up with Judith at the show :)
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you blogging again, your cards are lovely, my favourite colour palette, and the texture panel has worked out really well, hasn't it? I am sure that your Mum would have loved her card as the pansies are lovely. Thanks for sharing your other photos too, the sky pictures are so different, showing how amazing Nature can be. It was lovely to meet at Ally Pally, as we just did not know if either of us would manage the trip, making it all the more special. Like you, a lot of my stash is unused, but I have inked up some of my new stamps! Judith xx
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine hope you are now feeling a lot better, lovely pictures and love the batch cards. Pleased you made it to Ally Pally. Suexxx
ReplyDeleteHello Elaine, it is lovely to be able to stop by and visit you again. I hope you are feeling much much better by now. You had a rough winter! Your shell card is gorgeous in beachy tones. I love it! The birthday card too is very sweet. You make such gorgeous cards. And your two photo images are very beautiful. Have you received any of my e-mails? I think my computer is eating them : (
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Terri
Hello Lovely. It takes me as long to comment as it does you to post but no one knows better than I how life gets in the way. That blooming chest bug was a stinker wasnt it. As usual I still have the remnants of a cough from mine. I hope you are now fully recovered but I'm glad you made it to AP to meet up with Judith.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are still managing some crafting and hope you get to use that new stash sometime soon. I love the cards you batch made. I haven't used my rainbow ink pads in years and ought to check to see if they've either dried out or merged into one colour......mud!
Fabulous photos of the cloud formations! How dramatic the first one is!
I hope I manage to visit your next post a little quicker than I have this one.
Hugs

Hi Elaine, beautiful cards, I love the vivid blues and greens with the dash of bright pink - quite stunning.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to explain that I have emailed you a couple of times, replying to your kind comments on my blog, but I don't think the emails are getting to you, as I did reply to your swap suggestion a few weeks ago but didn't hear back - it's a problem I have with one or two other bloggers and I have no idea why. Many apologies, I really hope you didn't think I was being rude!
Thank you very much for visiting my blog earlier - I really do appreciate your kind comments.
