I had the pleasure of working with the Pears and Baubles A4 stamp plate from Chocolate Baroque as part of the Design Team. This is stamp of the month for September over on the website, so grab a bargain asap! These stamps have such a gorgeous luxurious feel and are fantastic teamed with some decadent designer papers, if you can bear to cut into your stash! I made a couple of cards that were quite quick to make, but still feel special enough for those people you want to spoil!
I used an 8 x 8 kraft card as my base, added a foiled K and Co paper and embossed three baubles in gold on burgundy pearl card. Added some ribbons, a blousy bow and an embossed sentiment. Simple!
The next card took a supreme act of self sacrifice to cut into the gorgeous paper.
Once again I added baubles embossed in teal metallic EP on teal pearl card. I added organza ribbons for a softer look on this card and an embossed sentiment.
Lastly, I embossed lots of the mistletoe leaves and decoupaged them to make a bunch of mistletoe.
I coloured the leaves with Distress Markers and added pearls for berries. I mounted the mistletoe on an oval panel, backed it all onto a dry embossed snowflake panel and added a sentiment, and gingham ribbon to finish.
That's three cards into the Christmas pile!
Thanks for popping by!

3 fab cards with 3 different looks to them - the first one has a real unsual colour combi (well, for me anyway!) and I love how youve decoupaged the mistletoe, looks very effective.
ReplyDeleteWell done for getting into the seasonal cards - these are all lovely and could tempt me to get more Christmas stamps even though I said I wouldn't!!
ReplyDeleteLovey festive cards Elaine you have encouraged me to start thinking about mine , not a favourite time of year for me. Really love the burgundy you have used. Suexxx
ReplyDeleteThree beautiful cards Elaine, the bauble stamps are so lovely. My favourite card has to be the first one because it looks so rich and elegant. Jean x

All three are beautiful ! I love the 3 ornaments on one large card, the DP is gorgeous with them. Also bunching up the mistletoe is a great idea. I have this set and love it ! Cheers, Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteThe number of greens in that last one with the sheer decadence of the pearl berries is what makes it my favourite of these. I think it's the crisp lines with the clean colours & the assorted textures that appeal to me particularly. The teal card comes a close second with the terrific positioning of the baubles onto the patterned paper combined with the soft organza ribbon. The rich burgundy ribbon in the first is very pretty & tactile catching the eye to say 'look at me'. An amazing selection of designs showing how truly versatile this set of stamps is.

These are really gorgeous cards Elaine. I couldn't pick a favourite. I have to say those baubles are quite beautiful especially embossed as you've done here. Beautiful work my friend.

Goegeous cards Elaine, and anyone would count themselves lucky to receive one of these. Those backing papers compliment the stamps beautifully, and the addition of some lovely ribbon just adds to the overall effect.
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Judith xx
