I made this little Valentine's card for my OH. I bought this little silhouette stamp from an E Bay seller recently I really love it, because we feed the wild rabbits in our garden and one of them in particular takes food from our hands, especially if a sesame ryvita is on offer!
The sentiment is from the Elusive Images Artful Affirmations plate. These words seem so appropriate as we discovered recently when so many people supported us with love through some difficult times. The backing paper is one I made using my leafy background technique, using leaves from our garden.
Most of the colouring is done with the Paris Trunk dye inks. I only have a few of these "green" inks, but I am really getting to like these beautiful colours.
Enjoy your Valentine's Day.
Elaine xx

beautiful colours and sentiment.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely card Elaine, very fitting with the rabbit image! The colours are lovely, and I really like the frame that you have used around the EI sentiment. It all goes together so well, especially on your lovely background, Judith xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Elaine. No wonder your OH likes it. The rabbit certainly pushes the right button doesn't it. It's a lovely sweet image. I definitely think I need to check out those colours because there are definite gaps in the Adirondacks. Love the pretty edging around the sentiment.

ReplyDeleteHi Elaine. I'm sure the DH will love his card. The stamp is so cute and I love it when you can see a use for a stamp that's personal. Love the border punch around the wording. I have this plate, love it. Wish we could meet up some day so you could show me how to create the leafy technique. (not been very successful with my efforts)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
