This was what greeted me when I pulled the bedroom curtains this morning - ice on the inside of the window. This was after I thought to myself that it hadn't felt so cold getting out of bed after all!!
The pattern reminded me of the Elusive Images Ornate Leaf stamp that Helen Chilton used to stamp on glass in the latest issue of Craft Stamper!!
This is the sun rising over our veg garden.
The view across the countryside from our front gate.
The views from my shed today.
Other bits of the garden.
This is one of our wild visitors looking for food. We really love rabbits and we have made sure the birds and animals have been well fed over the last few days.
Keep warm and safe everyone and above all, try and take time to enjoy the beauty of this unusual weather.

Lovely photos, Elaine. I am glad you feed the animals too. I guess you are not doing much crafting in your workroom at the moment! Hope the water remains flowing for your hot water bottles. Love Janet xx
ReplyDeleteLove the photographs they are beautiful. Keep warm Hugs xchrisB
ReplyDeletelovely photos - first one reminded me of how the windows often looked when I was a child (many moons ago!)
ReplyDeleteIn all the years my (ex) in-laws lived on IOW, I can't remember them having any more than a sprinkling of snow - certainly nothing as pretty (?) as this!! And definitely nothing like your bedroom window!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have some beautiful views!
Keep warm

What wonderful photos Elaine. I had exactly the same thought as you when I saw the first one. I haven't seen ice on the inside of a window like that since I was a child (a loooong time ago). Gosh, I am so spoilt by central heating now.
ReplyDeleteMy Snoopy would love your garden and all that snow. I doubt I'd ever find him as he's nearly all white and as you don't have neighbours too close he'd be able to bark to his hearts content. He's a very vocal Jack Russell/ Dachsund cross!
I'd keep my nose under the duvet tonight if I were you.

What beautiful photos Elaine and what a coincidence, when I saw the pic of the iced window I immediately saw an Elusive Images stamp too! I'm so pleased that your wild visitors are being well cared for, I'm sure they really appreciate your hospitality. I've been putting our pine nuts for our fluffy feathered friends, they love them and we have a fox who's been leaving footprints on the patio in all the deep snow. Diesel is not impressed by its audacity to enter his domain though and I'm sure he'd like the opportunity to tell him so given half the chance!
ReplyDeleteYour comment about the first photo was exactly what I thought. How lucky you are to live in such a lovely place.

Love the snowy photos, especially the iced window - I agree, it does look like one of our Elusive Images stamps! We've been feeding all of our bird and squirrel visitors here too, it's been a hive of activity out there!
